Work in progress. It's at that stage where there's nothing that can be done to rescue it. In about ten more hours it'll be looking better. Btw, that's not a mustache it's the outline of a hand.

I've never woven before. Not like this. I'm very pleased, but the reason you can see a weft pattern forming is because I already got bored of the back and forth.

There's a very real possibility I'm doing a terrible job, but it's my first time so I'm determined to be kind to myself. Right now that looks like stopping and going elsewhere.

Ok so the CRITICAL thing when warping a loom is ensuring that each thread is under equal tension. That's clearly not the case here, but I'm done for the day. I will fix it tomorrow.

I am unsure how I managed to be so confused and stressed by the concept of tying 20 knots, but on my third attempt I managed to tie the warp to the apron rod.

Further progress! It didn't take quite as long as it seems because I had to do some chores in the middle but my god that was a lot of threads. Perhaps by the end of the day there will be some weaving occurring.

Woke up at about 6:30 and came downstairs for coffee before 7. Apparently Monty regrets her stance on not cuddling with me overnight. We've been watching Columbo for a couple of hours and I want more coffee but apparently I'm not allowed to move.

One of my friends is hosting a painting class so she designed a painting and practiced by instructing me on it. Mine is the bright green one on the right - the first time I've ever done a waterfall I'm proud of!
