Are you mad at billionaires? Me, too. That's why I wrote this book about punishing them in inventive ways.
Guess why it's called Guillotine.

If you're thinking about award nominations or end-of-year lists, I hope you'll think of my 2025 releases. It was a scary year for me in more ways than one.

The biggest lessons I learned about tabling at cons:
* bring more books than you think you need (I brought 68 and sold out in 2 days; wish I'd brought 100!)
* have signage that starts conversations
* have freebies to get people closer
* have pitches ready
* make friends with your booth neighbors

Well, @twincitiescon.bsky.social was a delight! I sold out of books this morning before the con opened. Eternally grateful to @benpenrod.bsky.social and @lanpitts.bsky.social for the invite, to @johnjacksonmiller.bsky.social for all the help, and to my lovely boothmates, @btaworkshop.bsky.social.

Twin Cities Con day 2 was a blast! My goal tomorrow is to find homes for the last 2 copies of The Violence and the last two Sad Porg bookmarks because I am almost sold out (!?!). Everyone has been so kind. And my sign resulted in the gift of DELICIOUS gluten free cake from Aaron and Phoenix! <23

For those kind folks who answered my question about how to table, here's how my booth at Twin Cities Con ended up. Having a lovely time, and it's not nearly as difficult to table as I thought it would be! Everyone is so sweet! And if you buy a Star Wars book, you can adopt a Sad Porg bookmark.

Contemplating whether to take this stand-up author banner to Twin Cities Con, where I'm tabling for pretty much the first time. I fixed the top, where it's not attached. I'll be selling lots of IP work in addition to horror. Yea or nay?

Last con of the season is Twin Cities Con in Minneapolis this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! I have one panel, a puppet battle, and a lot of time at table #756, where I'll be selling and signing my books. I *never* table, so I am intimidated and might hide under the table. Any advice??

Every voter in our house has voted! Georgia, you have until 7pm! Kindly remember that the Public Service Commission incumbents are the reason our electricity bills nearly doubled this year!

So I looked at their most recent books-- and, mind you, you can't click on these squares to learn more about the authors and their works, so whoever is doing this clearly isn't trying to spread the word effectively. But, yeah. I doubt this is my audience. 6/

And then I went to their website, which is a bunch of bland stock photos and nothingburger statements about passionate readers. Plus, more backwards names! 5/

The scammers are getting more convincing, so let's dig deeper. I got one today from Manhattan Book Club. So-- they're adding an American word, a place we all know, to make it sound familiar. And yet... something is off. 1/

Does anyone know how to find the right luggage wheel replacement? American Tourister can't tell me the replacement part number and has been super annoying to deal with. I can't find them online at the usual places. 22" hardshell suitcase, 1.46" and 1.51" distance between screws.

So here are my two choices for Friday's Halloween middle school visits to discuss Ride or Die.
1/2 lowkey Wonder Woman
3 more obvious Wednesday Addams
I have to put this on at 6am and make 2 plane trips before an 11am presentation and a 2pm presentation. The kids have a strict dress code.
Which??
