You're not missing anything. The article (and report) argues that the University should reflect world demographics. To me, this seems incredibly silly and counterproductive.

The report from the TBI was more nuanced than the article headline implies imo. For example, it chastises the current shallow-decarbonization strategy for not delivering a peak in coal use (see image). I am curious if you think we will actually see coal peak in the next couple of years.

Sorry to keep appearing in your replies (and deeply sorry to link to the other site) but yeah, Dr.Zelinka (quoted in the piece) blames low-level cloud feedbacks for the high ECS in the "hot" CMIP6 models: x.com/mzelinka/sta...

Looks like those models might be accurate after all.
