Yeah! Yeah! Dumpsters are cool!

As Beavis might say, “It would RULE!”.

And that computer coloring system really doesn’t help these shows. It would have been better for future preservation if they had just shot them on film. But I’m sure they never thought anyone would still be watching them in 2025.

I liked them when they first ran. They’re not as awful as I’m making them sound. They’re sort of like the various Flintstones revivals. You can see Joe Barbera has fond memories of this stuff, but his crews really can’t capture what made them work in the first place.

The Jetsons shows from that time ranged from boringly on-model to incredibly sloppy yet energetic, despite the episode scripts ranging from derivative to boring.

I was just thinking one day that Beavis would make an ugly Santa Claus. And he does. And all those cookies would affect his metabolism because of all that sugar, so…Santa Cornholio. He’d be scaring all the kids at the mall waiting for Santa.

“I can’t believe it, Marge! The animators made a mistake! This shakes my faith in humanity!” *Homer sobbing*

This one struck me as odd since this is an episode I rewatch every December, yet somehow I never caught it before. As they pan out and Lisa moves her arm up to the right position, the phantom third arm is still there!

“Pete’ll never know what hit him! Good idea, Mickey!”
“Pete? I was talkin’ about Donald…that guy is gettin’ on my nerves lately!”

I love these comics. I found the omnibus a few years back at a big discount. Muppet Babies is one of my go-to books when I need a smile.

Snoopy likes any game that he doesn’t have to actually pay attention to. He’s easily distracted (or am I describing myself?).
