This reminds me of the pro-lifers in the US who only care about the child *before* it is born

You'd think this might affect his credibility. Perhaps there's so little remaining that the affect is insignificant.

Really? Sky news have recently been pretty balanced in my view

I haven't witnessed anything from Beth Rigby that warrants either this post or the replies.

Have always found her interviews to be fairly balanced myself.

It produces a performative ecosystem. Actors aren’t communicating; they’re staging provocations for yield. The result is disordered discourse: signals detached from truth, identity shaped by escalation, and a feedback loop where the performance eclipses reality itself.

I continue to be deeply suspicious of anything said by Gove, and he may well feel zero contrition.

It's also quite possible that he only apologised because he believed it the politically expedient thing to do.

But it's still also the right thing to do.

At least Gove apologized.

Feeling uncommonly fucked off by the response from Cummings and Johnson. Cummings rudely brushing off questions from the BBC feels like him rudely brushing off all of us, including those who lost loved ones. And Johnson. Words fail me. But of course he'd react like that.

In the EU, the copper recycling rate is 41%. That's pretty good, but it should be higher.

They rate far and away their best performer 4th and place a political liability in first. Oh deary me.
