Worked with a bunch of Somali refugees years ago. They worked their asses off to get a foothold so they could get their kids an education and better their lives. True believers in the "American Dream" and so deserving of the chance at achieving it.

I thought it was priced like caviar! Never believed I could afford such a luxury, then about 5 years ago a friend told that it cost like $5. I went out and bought one immediately, it's just a fancy ass Dairy Queen confectionery (complimentary)!

First thought was Red Wings, but the local store closed and I'm not buying walking boots without trying them on. Will see if I can find Rocky or Dahner locally. The Brooks trail runners I got are good, but they're not made for walking that much on pavement.

How's the padding on those extra tuffs? I'm working outside this winter and putting in 10-12 miles/shift. Got a set of waterproof trail runners, but they have absolutely no sole to them.

It no longer sits well with me. One hit and I feel like someone put a safe on my lap. You do you, and I'll stick to cheap beer and whiskey.
