It probably will. These trees are supposed to be pruned back hard, as the longer branches require WAY more watering to keep them alive, and if you prune them, the roots will shove more branches out in the springtime.

That said, woo nellie. Taking them from about 40 feet to 12 feet was an adventure. Gnarly branches had a mind of their own on how they wanted to fall.
