So much Israeli cruelty that even extraordinary stories like this barely cause a ripple. A 15-year old Palestinian boy in the West Bank was shot point-blank by the IDF last week. Wounded, soldiers prevented paramedics from reaching him. Video shows him writhing on the ground

A pet peeve:

When someone says he/she 'believes' something that strikes you as clearly true (eg. 'Trump is a corrupt'), don't say, "That's not a belief' because you think it's clearly true. The strength of a proposition doesn't make it any less a belief. 'I believe 2+2 =4' is a normal thing to say.

🚨 BREAKING: Families woke up Thu. to find themselves suddenly on the wrong side of Gaza’s “yellow line” as Israel pushed the boundary about 300m further west during a tank incursion in eastern Gaza City. In 2024, I began reading a long post on X that I quickly realized was explicitly arguing that the lesson of the Holocaust is not "Never again, for anyone," but "Never again, for Jews." I was horrified, and had to stop reading. Here Hurwitz isn't saying anything so abhorrent, but it's still troubling
Former Obama speechwriter Sarah Hurwitz advocates for stopping Holocaust education because it leads young Jews to fight anti-Black racism and criticize Israel.

"When they see powerful Israelis fighting weak Palestinians, they think 'the lesson of the Holocaust is I should fight Israel.'"

After successfully making Gaza unlivable, Israel moves to begin the 'voluntary' emigration of Gazans, which of course is anything but voluntary in any real sense.

This is astonishing when you consider how controversial slavery became in Britain by the end of the 18th century, not to mention how recently some of these islands still had ties to Britain (some still have). Makes you think that they don't know this history because they don't know British history.
holy shit: “Among the 2,000 UK adults surveyed, 85% were unaware that Britain forcibly transported more than 3 million Africans to the Caribbean, 89% did not know that Britain enslaved people in the Caribbean for more than 300 years” www.theguardian.com/world/2025/n...
