A Month of Dick has begun. I read chapters 1 & 2 yesterday on the train back to our beloved city of the Manhattoes. Friends, it's not too late to get on this ship before it sails. (A decent online version with annotations can be found at powermobydick.com, if you do not have a paper copy handy.)
Today's chapters are 1-2, the journey begins from the mythical and magical island of Manhattoes after just a wee touch of the Menty Bs!

The Brian Lehrer Show just did a call-in segment on listeners' morning routines and it's a humbling exercise in selection bias. Every caller is like, well my alarm goes off at 4am, then I do some Tai Chi, read for 20 min, then hit the gym for an hour so I get back in time to walk the dog before work
