Traversing the serpent ~ built in 2000-2004, the Deconstructivist BP Pedestrian Bridge was designed by Frank Gehry and Skidmore, Owings and Merrill to connect the two portions of Millennium Park across Columbus Drive, which bisects the park.

Current state of the State St. bridge. In mid April an emergency construction project was announced earlier by the Chicago Department of Transportation. It should reopen in November. We’ll see 😏.

John Mead Howells & Raymond Hood’s Tribune Tower, completed in 1925. In 2016, Golub & Company and CIM Group embarked on a joint venture to acquire and transform the Tower into 162 luxury residential condominiums, complemented by 47,000 square feet of prime retail space along Michigan Avenue.
