Google DeepMind announces AlphaGenome: Predicts effects of small changes to DNA, and deciphers genomic "instructions" at the molecular level. An incredible advance!

Yet it refused my search for "Der Übermensch." Weird.

Funny #meme!

The not so funny truth is that Trump is calculating the #tariffs not in relation to the tariffs a country puts on us, but what it would take to even out the trade balance ... as if a country who sells us more than they buy is ripping us off. Insane. And wicked stupid.

Peter Kalm in Travels Into North America (1770) reports on colonists' longevity, attributing it to lots of land (ahem), low taxes, & liberty. Ends with a woman w/ 500 offspring down to great-great-grandchildren, 205 still alive when she died at 100. (From the blessed Internet Archive (Archive.org))
