Ive been thinking about scope and how to categorize #indiegames, and decided to try by their mechanical depth

I’ve come up with the progression:

1. Curiosity
2. Toy
3. Amusement
4. Game

Curiosity: an experience that provides 0 primary mechanics for enjoyment -> beholding it is the fun

just a little progress each day - today, lock on switching

time to show off my new project so far for #screenshotsaturday! only about a week into this so far, but happy with what's in so far. it's an adventure game with broad stroke inspiration from some of my all time favorites - wind waker, kingdom hearts, dark cloud, jak and dax :)

Another annual virtual #gamedev Halloween!

This year I modeled the house interior and made a mystery game for my friends to solve. Here’s my favorite clip of them cracking the final code and getting into the basement ☺️ 👻

Was a little sad I missed Halloween in Boston this year, so I recreated my friends' house and made a peer2peer multiplayer game out of it 😅

Not as good as in person but watching them find all my easter eggs was insanely fun 🎃 #gamedev #indiedev
