You could build this with Next and do server side rendering for SEO. React has always been bad for SEO.
As for this question: you’d have to build in a caching layer.

Aluminum has very low resistance. Though it has a positive temp coefficient of around 0.0043 per degree C. Concrete doesn’t usually melt, but fails around temperatures of 800C.
It’s likely that the aluminum is being heated by arcing into ground and reaching temps where its resistance is melting it.

I’m with you on the topic at hand. Just pointing out that published writing speaks louder than what’s happening here.
You do you, my man. That’s what’s beautiful is you get to decide what your time is worth.

If I may, it’s not worth fighting in the muck with people. There’s always another to come along after and rehash the same ole fight.
A published article is worth 10,000 fights in the weeds.

Was watching a news report on there being no tail recently. The reporter says, “… let’s welcome our guest today, Avi Loeb” and I turned off the video immediately. He’s a joke and I can’t listen to it anymore.

My issue is that I don’t want an internet connected device with cameras, microphones, and legs with free rein in my house. I’ll do the dishes myself, thanks.

Sure, folks misuse them. But were those people you want to reach anyway? Are they people you would benefit from interacting with? I want to talk with people who want to talk with me. I use social for community. That’s what makes me happy. And I’m quite happy here. Not something I’ve felt elsewhere.

I also don’t much care if I end up on some blocklist. With how I use Bluesky it hasn’t happened so far. I mostly post about photography. And if someone doesn’t want to see that I’m not offended by them blocking or muting me. They’re just curating their own experience, and I think that’s great.

Being able to curate my own experience has been a boon for me. It’s the reason I stay here instead of quitting social altogether. I see photography and art, and amateur radio, and software engineering/open source. Mostly just the things I personally care about.

What I use a ton are muted words. No offense to the furry community but it’s just something I personally don’t care for. Same for some political names and words. I’m all for challenging my own presumptions, but some topics I’ve already well considered and I’m not benefited by continuing to see it.

I take a judicious approach to blocklists. Mostly I block some lists that have noted hateful people in them. I also block anyone who follows more than 5k people. IME I’ve found that’s way too many following for someone to ever see much less engage with me.

Aside from obviously hateful content, there are topics and discussions I just, frankly, don’t care to participate in. My experience is worsened when I have no choice but to consume them. I’d prefer to filter out that noise to get to the signal of what I actually care about.

Leaflet is one of those types of ideas that I didn’t know how badly I needed it. And now that I see it, it’s /such a great idea/.
Discoverability of blogs has been so so hard for me in the past. And that feels really fixed now. Great read, thanks for writing!
