One year since the publication of my first article!

Still proud of this, and happy that people read and engaged with it. Also, still can't believe I was invited to Zaragoza to present to the PRISMA conference about this topic.

You can find the article here: postgradpedagogies.lse.ac.uk/articles/24

Last week, I attended the TUC LGBT+ Workers’ Conference 2025 in London, a key event in my year. The conference passed motions defending trans rights against rising transphobia and combating the far right. It’s vital the trades union movement sees LGBT+ liberation as a key to the workers’ movement.

Amazing to have run such a good workshop with @erinmcnally.bsky.social surrounding interdisciplinarity within International Relations. We heard from some amazing PGRs within the department, talking all about how their research relates to the ways in which we define the discipline of IR.

I am genuinely horrified by last week’s ruling and by the government’s response to it. Trans people will always be my comrades and my siblings, and we must stand together against this transphobia. To my trans friends, I am so sorry this is happening, and I stand with you in rage and solidarity ✊🏳️‍⚧️
Really important public service here from Sandra for those of us too distressed to watch.

I am genuinely stunned (though not surprised) by how the Government have approached this.
I am genuinely aghast.

She's relating allowing trans women to use the ladies', as being the same as mixed sex wards with men in hospitals.

It has been amazing working on these two events with @erinmcnally.bsky.social around disciplinarity within International Relations. We will be exploring disciplinary dilemmas in IR, and how postgraduate research in the department can help to define IR. Excited for the workshop and mixer in May!
