Most people are decent and it's just a few ruining it for everyone else. One day we'll learn how to marginalise them into obscurity.

No DM's please ...
Thanks for the tip.

I always see the off season as an opportunity to look back over favourite races. Taking on 2012 in its entirety sounds brilliant.

I watch the replays on the F1 TV app. They have an archive of the races going all the way back to the '70's.

We're on Bluesky.

Millions of us fled X because we came to despise what it had become. And it's owner, of course.

Were we wrong?

Grotesque.

Who are the customers? Name and shame…

Disagree. The second half of the season was much better for him. At times he was ahead of George, one of the best drivers on the grid.

Kimi is still learning, no question. But he more than proved that the potential people saw in him was very much there.

Infantile and staggeringly pathetic.
December 10, 2025 at 6:06 PM
…and when the race itself happened, #1 stayed there, and 2 and 3 swapped around in line with team orders. All with in the first two laps. And that’s how it finished.

The ground-effect era needs to be airbrushed out of F1’s history.

I was at a public school in the late '60's / early '70's, along with 650 other boys, and in 5 years I can't remember a single one being "obsessed with Hitler." Not one, not even remotely.

Led Zeppelin, Raquel Welch, Monty Python - for sure.

We'd moved on. That was the entire point of the '60's.

Contrary to others posting here, I'm an F1 fan. But they're right. It's laughable to hear broadcasters trying to insert some tension and drama into something that's become so utterly pedestrian.

Throwing money at things doesn't make them better. F1 is proof of that.

Presumably there are still some in the Conservative Party who think she's an asset?
December 8, 2025 at 2:24 PM
Spot on.

There is no way the turnaround in Red Bull would have happened under Horner. Additionally, you can sense that the team are far more together and actually having fun.

Amazing how quickly Mekies has turned it around. Chapeau.

"Over there Nigel. Yup, stand right there..."
"Why?"
"They're the winners."
"Gotcha. Usual smile?"
December 8, 2025 at 8:48 AM
It certainly was this season. It was basically the world qualifying championships.

One day the FIA will work out how to enable cars to overtake again.

Fantastic picture.

Matt is clearly performing a conjuring trick he had perfected specially for Liz. That cup and saucer are about to vanish.

Liz, alas, is in mid ramble with her eyes firmly shut. He could take the cactus and the table and she still won't notice.

Other than that, a season to forget.

The good news? Both the car and the regulations are being binned.
December 7, 2025 at 2:49 PM
Decent result in the final race.

Now bin the car and come back with much better one.

Alongside this, there also needs to be thorough scrutiny of Farage's comments about Russia.

Unlike the defence he's putting forward for his time at Dulwich College, he can't claim a statute of limitations, or a tongue-in-cheek approach on those.
December 7, 2025 at 10:48 AM
One day England will win.

Michael Vaughan will never stop moaning.

Does that help?
December 7, 2025 at 8:12 AM
In years to come I hope we will have worked out how an unintelligent, uninspired, unsophisticated, unethical, unworthy and utterly corrupt little man came to lead the largest economy in the world.
December 6, 2025 at 7:50 PM
When Robbie GIbb comes out to defend you against the charges that you're a right wing stooge, it's game, set and match.
December 5, 2025 at 2:06 PM
Anyone else getting the impression that Farage is just digging himself deeper into this particular hole?

He's normally able to brush things off with his so-called man of the people (my arse) persona. These allegations appear to be sticking to him like treacle.
December 4, 2025 at 5:31 PM
And how many of this bunch feel strongly about Nige being so hard done by that they've taken the time to go on record with the Guardian?
