Yeah Streeting is a good performer which is most certainly not a popular thing to say on here and members are unlikely to pick him...but even with him I've no idea what he'd do with the job.

Easier to say who I don't want lol I have a feeling Bridget Philipson may be a strong contender, though and I find her impressive. Think Rayner is too big a risk - she did actually screw up on the tax thing, sadly. What about you?

Also, I honestly can't believe we'd seriously think Ed Milliband should take over. We put him to the electorate and they gave their verdict. Can we get serious on a replacement please? He's a good minister, PM material he ain't. The *voters* have already told us that.

I'm serious about the Mail thing, btw. We did not win because of the Mail. The did everything in their power to try and stop us winning. We don't need them. Fuck them off, properly.

The depressing thing is I don't look at any leadership contender and thing 'they've got it...they understand what needs to be done'.

I mean if you act like you think the electorate made a mistake is it any wonder they think the same too? I'd rather we went out with a bang having changed stuff for the better and done what we thought was right than.... this.

Hmmm gay guy on his own in a Hooters doesn't feel like the same vibe...maybe though, might be funny.

Haha I feel like I'm not their target market, tbh.

Been with work before but I'll have some free time this time round.

Yeah totally agree

I assume there's a budget and when you go over that you pay the difference? Which is......fine?

Really has been. Politicians and media share the blame tbf

I don't think it's particularly harmful to Starmer that they've headlined it like that. People- apart from right wing lunatics- are not going to be outraged by any part of this story, mildly amused probably.
