Yorkshire based. Interested in politics. Labour member but not a cultist.
I mean if people are paying for 'premium' vehicles with additional payments from their own money this move isn't going to save money, just remove choice? Or have I missed something?

I hope it has reached a turning point because whatever your preferred policy hobby horse is *this* is what really matters when it comes to actually winning an election next time round.

I think I've been dumped by someone I've never met and don't know because I've criticised Starmer. It really is *personal* to these people and I'll admit it I genuinely can't get my head around people feeling like that about any politician they've never met and don't know, let alone Starmer.

Rachel Reeves literally held a press conference in front of the media and TV cameras to lay the ground for increases in income tax. If it wasn't she would have denied it when she was given the opportunity to. At the press conference. She arranged. To lay the ground. For income tax rises.

Anyway in other news here's a picture of a heron that spent some time fishing by my boat the other day (just stumbled on the pic).

And Starmer's problem - rightly or wrongly - has always been people *don't know* what he actually believes.
November 13, 2025 at 4:41 PM
He's up for the fight. Good
November 11, 2025 at 12:16 PM
You might think they should have acted sooner, but it is very clear Starmer and the government are here to take on the racists and they are repeating that message very clearly.
November 11, 2025 at 12:15 PM

Moored my boat up for the winter at it's new mooring which is a perfect opportunity for tree climbing, apparently.
November 9, 2025 at 4:25 PM
It's really very simple we just need a global minimum tax on the ultra wealthy I honestly can't understand why no-one has thought of this very simple and easy to implement solution to all our ills *sarcasm face*

I'm no marketing expert, but if people are putting stickers like this on your products perhaps the brand is in a spot of trouble...
November 6, 2025 at 4:58 PM

November 4, 2025 at 9:17 PM

November 4, 2025 at 9:12 PM
Can Labour win anywhere, I hear you ask? Well, yeah they did just 4 months ago....yes Labour are unpopular, yes there will be more defeats but no Labour is definitely not out for the count.
October 24, 2025 at 10:52 AM

October 24, 2025 at 6:18 AM
'Go home is used by people who are bigoted or racist'. Yes, that's right. There's a couple of dots the tory mp quoted needs to join in relation to Lam.
October 23, 2025 at 5:46 PM

The 'other stuff' really shouldn't have been left to the imagination of the reader, I have to say.
