"You wanted a hit.
Maybe we don't hits."

www.DaveWakeman.com will tell you about my work in #branding #strategy

#COYS! #RollTide

I will post about the intersection of culture, biz, and branding. I love a nice bourbon!
Awful president. Decent athlete.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Which maybe needs a question mark as well.
November 26, 2025 at 10:18 PM
Making sure I wasn’t crazy.
November 26, 2025 at 10:16 PM
I’d reevaluate everything.
November 26, 2025 at 8:56 PM
That’s my thing.

We could have tried against Arsenal or Chelsea but we didn’t.
November 26, 2025 at 8:55 PM
Doesn't seem like it.

We definitely looked like we were rebuilding the first 18 months of Ange's time.

Then, things started to get tough, and we saw how that went.

So I don't know what or where we are now.

My beef is that we never have a plan.

We have jumped from one direction to another.

In Frank’s case, he’s a new direction and, seemingly, in over his head.

Like he was hidden from scrutiny by the strength of the Brentford system and plan.
November 26, 2025 at 12:32 PM
Yeah.

I’m no fan of Frank at this point. But I’m definitely seeing the likelihood that there’s even less of a plan than there was before.

And I felt like Levy didn’t have a strategy.

How were the attributes weighted?

Because this isn’t a manager implementing a plan.

This is a manager that seems like a deer in the headlights.

The worst part is he doesn’t seem to know that about himself.

Like whatever positive attributes Frank had at Brentford have been absent.
November 26, 2025 at 12:07 PM
This is my big question: who was responsible for the process that led to Frank?

Ange was a different profile of manager.

The club was returning to an attacking style of play.

Then they went through this “process” with attributes.

What were they?
Who came up with the attributes?
November 26, 2025 at 12:07 PM
Everything these knuckleheads told me about him has so far been wrong.
November 25, 2025 at 6:34 PM
He was supposed to be big on data.

Either way he’s lying about something.
November 25, 2025 at 6:33 PM
The some perfect games, some middle games, and some bad games things…
November 25, 2025 at 6:27 PM
TBF, that was the toughest one for me.

I was thinking as soon as I think we are a lost cause, they'll blow out PSG with some sort of crazy performance.

I'll allow it, but I also think it raises more questions than it answers.

But, I'd still love it!
November 25, 2025 at 4:50 PM
As someone in the demographic of this panel: I don’t want to hear this 💩.

This looks like hell on earth.
November 25, 2025 at 4:34 PM
Can you imagine those patterns with a choice of Xavi, Tel, Odebert, Kudus, and RKM?!

That's like Levy was giving Ange the V.
November 25, 2025 at 4:01 PM
Levy failed Ange.

Just like they failed with this appointment of Frank.

We keep lurching from one idea to the opposite idea. Most of the guys that were signed in the summer would have been great in Ange's system.

Instead, they wallow and waste in Frank's system.

It’s in the Washington Post, it’s obviously a right wing take.
