The next Democratic trifecta needs to do this, right away. Burning all the time & majorities first on The One Big Policy Fix doesn’t work. We have years of evidence on that now.
🇺🇸 trifectas get shot at doing something
Obama chose policy (ACA). It didn’t fix the authoritarian problem
Biden chose policy (ARP/IRA). It didn’t fix the authoritarian problem

If we want to actually be a representative democracy, then the platform needs to be institutional reform. All the Popularism and all the policies follow from that, not the other way around.

Here’s what I think the modern Dem platform should be:
-Prosecute this administration
-Expand and pack SCOTUS
-Outlaw private equity
-Limit corporate consolidation
-Ban fossil fuels
-Ban AI
-Heavily regulate gambling
-Free healthcare/free pre-K thru college education
-Permanent DST
For starters.
