Bad news, girl. You didn’t poop this morning when it wasn’t snowing. So now we have to go out when it is much worse. If only you could comprehend cause & delayed effects.

At 4:48 am the CTA says that there is a “sick customer” at the Howard platform.

But CPD has already been notified that the individual was pronounced deceased at 4:29 am.

It’s not on CTA to alert people to deaths in our city, but sometimes a euphemism can be covering a lot.

I was in the room in 2023 when the statement was watered down to a single sentence on a ceasefire. I was already planning to leave @apha.org after that meeting & I have no regrets doing so. I knew that they did not represent me & seeing how they treated one of their section chairs is unsurprising.

Chicago's Smart Streets cameras began issuing new fine types for expired meters and parking in bus stops in late October. New cameras have come into rotation as well, to limited use.

Low impact to daily fines issued so far, and a majority of tickets are still warnings.

Our database of over 100,000 reported bike lane obstructions shows business owners themselves use bike lanes as free parking. They know the current system is so broken they will not be ticketed. They also instruct delivery drivers and customers to do the same.

I am thinking of a journal article that I am having trouble finding the source. It’s about hazard & individual capacity. There is a graph of these over time & where the lines converge is where an injury happens. Thought it was a Haddon article.
