Going to see "Marty Supreme" with my girlfriend in an otherwise empty movie theatre was a fantastic New Year's Eve experience. The clock struck midnight right in the middle of the final climactic table tennis game.

Louise Penny, author of the Chief Inspector Armand Gamache books, opened a replica of the bistro from her novels in Knowlton, Quebec this Saturday. The treats and drinks are delicious and the cafe is cozy. And you might see Louise Penny herself welcoming visitors!
