Grey and brown. Make me frown.

Just so much grey. That makes me want to write and complain to the lead singer of Echo and the Bunnymen.

Whilst it's difficult to know what goes on other people's marriages, given what I've seen reported, I don't think she cares what her husband thinks or says.

More of a mini series than a movie but Black Doves (on Netflix) was great fun.

When I took our dog out for her pre bed wee at about 10pm last night, the moonlight was amazing. Didn't need a torch in the back garden as the moon was casting deep shadows!

I'd rather be hungover in the rain with a dog than without one.

That didn't stop them releasing a book of Heat 2. It's okay I suppose, but honestly really not worth filming.

Jeez, what a mean hearted adult. She has managed to get a bunch of children kicked out of an organisation and she's still not happy.

My brother still talks about the nursery staff trying to force him to use his right hand. That kind of crap was definitely still going on in the mid seventies. I know that may be fifty years ago to some, but the memory is like yesterday to him.

Christ, what is it about Staffordshire? It could be a lovely place, amazing scenery and so on. But then ...

If you've not seen it, check out the Alex Guinness Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Also great for shots of London before it got all spruced up in the nineties.

Hywel Bennet, the original Ricky Tarr!

Also , I'm getting concerned that I can recognise (very) west London even though I've only ever driven through that particular bit !

I have come to the belief that the Telegraph is for people who don't like to see others having a good time.

It's been close to 40 years since I played but it seems to me D&D has always been woke-ish to some extent. You are identifying as someone other than yourself, and you are asking others to accept you based on who you say you are rather than your birth identity. And every campaign is a hallucination

I want to work, I want to make a difference, I want to contribute. But UK plc does not make it easy. And a lot of it is just not just applicable to older workers, stuff like terrible recruitment processes or the lack of in-job training affects everyone.

I agree, but it's more nuanced than that. I love my job, the actual core of it. But it gets wearing, esp. the management noise - e.g initiatives that don't improve productivity. To paraphrase the Vogon guard in H2G2, "The hours are good... but much of the actual minutes are pretty lousy."
