Well FB is often rather slow about such things. Give it a few hours and maybe it will have caught up. Probably busier on weekends….

Hmmm, there should be an invite to join the Dave group. Maybe it doesn’t go into the inbox but some other mechanism. (That’s one of my [many] gripes about social media — each platform gives us usually at least two and sometimes more inboxes to have to go check!)

Its profile says it gauges the mood of Bsky. Yes, it’s just silly fun, but it can’t even begin to do what it claims to do, without distinguishing between such uses. Adding standard sentiment analysis techniques would help, and it could still be a swear-bot by only looking at posts with swears.

How can it judge overall mood when it apparently doesn’t distinguish between “fucking awesome” and “fucking horrible", or between “that was total shit” and “that was some good shit”? Not to mention, uses of swear words in a purely inquisitive quotational setting, such as this message!

Maybe you could do stego in a followup talk, like how I’ve been pitching one (albeit unsuccessfully so far) on how to use mutation testing to build a unit test suite in the first place.

There are still some in that one, but you can check out the longer ones. In particular, don’t just listen to it while doing other stuff your watching, watch the video, I do a lot of visual puns and related references. (Plus in the ones from mid-2021 on, there’s a very helpful diagram.)

This is one of the shortest versions I’ve done; I deliberately chopped out all the blather that was just related puns or whatever. So, it should be a good dense intro, and if you want more, check out the long ones in the Mutation Testing playlist in my YouTube channel.

And, because there are no penalties. Want something to stop? Gotta have penalties, plus reasonably swift and certain enforcement. We’ve severely reduced all three factors for most crime, and they've rarely even existed for most governmental/corporate misbehavior, with predictable results.
