I’d like to introduce you to Tennessee Jed (we call him Jed), the most worried and most affectionate dog who has ever lived with me 😊

Tennessee! This is the third time I’ve been able to see it in a photo. It’s amazing. Like magic.

Still making dishcloths. I like this one.

Not so nice from far away ☺️ The ones in the first pic are at the bottom of this one.

These leaves are pretty wonderful.

A friend asked if I could embroider some stockings for her. She had 2 for her kids who are both married with their own kids now. This is the last on, with one letter left. I’ve done Kacey, Briggs, Tom, and Hendricks. It’s been a fun learning experience.

Went with friends to hear an author talk (Kevin Wilson) then dinner-very pleasant social time, and my cactus bloomed.

Lots of good costumes and signs today but one of my favorite things was this group of ladies dancing. They had a routine for We Will Rock You and several other songs. They were having fun!

Hope you feel better soon

Today has included singing, Halloween crafts, many snacks, pajamas, and Hotel Transylvania. Still to come: pumpkin carving.

My flute lessons are t a community college-I think my instructor might teach a course there, so gets use of a practice room. The campus has sculptures everywhere. It’s lovely. Here’s one I especially like.

I decided to learn to knit this summer, then decided to make as many dish cloths as I could by Christmas. So far, I’ve made 22, but kept the three worst ones to use myself. Everyone gets holey, crooked practice knitting this year 😁

Tonight we went to my brother’s birthday party. It was at a boys’ summer camp in north AL. We saw folks we don’t see often and enjoyed the setting. It was a good way to spend an evening.

I started this one last night, and grabbed a couple of others—one called Zoe’s Story by @scalzi.com and another that turned out to be third in a series (but I haven’t read the first two).

This week: no extra appointments or meetings; work to complete, postcards to write (in support of a GA state senate candidate); embroidery to try; music to practice; books to read; language lessons to work on; good meals planned.

I love goldenrod — it’s usually covered in pollinators, too.

I enjoy this planter, turning it regularly to try and keep her hair growing evenly. She does have a bald spot in the back though.

I think this is a lobelia. It was a very bright spot on my walk. #wildflowers

My garden is neglected but the zinnias are pretty. 🌻🌱

We went to watch the sunset and it was a good decision. #sunset

I have one similar to this! A friend's mom was flipping a house and putting in grass where flower beds had been and I dug them up not knowing how they would bloom. It's one of my favorites.
