Just a new dad that is finding less and less time to actually game haha. Oh, and I'm not a big social media person, but I'm definitely anti-corruption and anti-nimwit. Cheers!
Cassette Beasts Progress:

It took me till lvl 54 to realize you could do a cool fusion attack if your ap bar gets full during fusion 😅

I got my first "shiny", a bootleg Twirligig with beast type 🤩

I hate the move Wonderful 7.

Day 15: Game with minimalist design/no dialogue

Journey

I tried, wracked my brain, have 5 other choices
...
just nothing compares. 🫤 Journey was such a special and magnificent adventure that I do not know that I'm ever going to get to experience again. It was wonderful. 👍

R: Resident Evil

I'm still traumatized about having a limited number of saves to this day... but with how well I handle horror games (which is not well 😂) it's a minor miracle that I even beat this game.

How? Why? Not sure 🤔 but one thing is for certain, the og Resident Evil is an amazing game. 👍

It feels like I'm about halfway through Cassette Beasts (probably a bit further out). I've beaten 6 captains, 3 archangels, am level 48, and I have half-ish of the map explored.

Anyways, here are my four favorite cassettes so far (that I didn't put a code in for/aren't teammates' mons).

Lotta games with some good writing right there. 😊

So one of my favorite small things in Cassette Beasts, is when you beat someone in battle, they just go down...

...and they stay down. Just laying there in the environment 😂

Introduce yourself with 4 spaceships. ✨🚀✨
• The Epoch (Chrono Trigger)
• The Arwing (Starfox)
• The Normandy (Mass Effect)
• Battlecruisers (StarCraft)

Day 13: Game with Fantastic Writing

Baldur's Gate 3

I'm trying to do no repeats, so with that in mind I cornered myself 😂

I'll give it to BG3. 👍 There is just so much there, and the companions feel real and that is probably due to good writing (except when they lust after you 😂).

I haven't played with it but there is a lists so I don't know how it functions, but that might serve that purpose.

There's also a filtering system for what you put in. So if you wanted to sort by all unfinished games of a certain genre or on a certain system you can do that. 😊

I also have my card so I can fight all the gym lea... *ahem* ranger captains.

And I really like how this one guy functions/looks. 😊
November 24, 2025 at 10:16 AM
So one of the coolest things I've done in Cassette Beasts so far. See a drainage pipe "I think I can fly in there"

I can. And I'm rewarded with a rare fight/cassette. Exploring in this game is such fun. 😊
November 24, 2025 at 10:15 AM
So I still have a long way to go, but I'm working on setting up an Infinite Backlog profile because the graphs look nice and the data analyst in me likes it...

...also my current way of keeping track of things is one loooooong giant sprawling note 😂 (I'm due for an upgrade 😅, it'll help).

Day 12: A Game that makes you laugh

Rounds

Imagine a game where you all are balls, jump around on crazy stages, and have guns...

...and every time you don't win a round you get a choice of upgrade cards...

...and you can get enough things to crash the game in endless mode.

Chaos. Hilarious. 😂

• Love exploring the environment (so many cool details)

• The types and however they work are still scrambling my mind
• Iffy on leveling, feels 2 ez

Took a random good pic. A phone pic, so some of it is lost because I don't have a professional camera and such, but I still think this one is nice. 😊

The cool weather brings a lot of stillness which I like. 👍

Day 11: Game that makes you think about life

Wanderstop

A recent example, touching on themes of burnout and our constant compulsion to be doing something, this game definitely progressed at a different pace and tickled the brain.

Also Boro drops crazy wisdom bombs left and right. 😂
November 23, 2025 at 1:03 PM
Absolum.

Not only is it a genre I love, but the fact that it's in the discussion for best indie AND it's a mashup I haven't experienced before - I'm dying to give it a try. 😊
