They didn’t wear the white panel cap on the road when they changed to gray away jerseys in 1989, but they did wear the white panel *helmet* on the road that year.
(Also, them currently wearing a navy blue helmet with royal blue jerseys is driving me nuts.)

Luc was the first guy in my head also. Second guess might have been Jason Kendall as a Pirate but I looked later and he didn’t quite get there.
I’d also like to believe that the 2% who picked Surhoff is entirely made up of Brewers fans.
