This is a piss-poor attempt at moral equivalency. In reality al-Awlaki’s crime was not “Obama didn’t like his father”, and though all russian strikes on Ukrainian military targets are in fact war crimes, they aren’t the ones people tend to get upset about.

This really is the entire point. The F-35 is awesome and exquisite capability in the air trumps mass in a way that doesn’t translate to other domains, but some don’t reckon enough with the fact that the we can never trust the US the same again.

NuzziGate isn't being taken nearly as seriously as it should and the broader effects of the breach are being underdiscussed, a failure partly buoyed by disingenuous pointing at things like GamerGate.

It is kind of darkly funny to me that GamerGate and NuzziGate both have at their core a similar breach in journalism ethics. GamerGate went far too hard and quickly became about other things because there are far too many gamers that are misogynist trolls.
