That sounds great! A good Malbec is my second choice.

I'm running 2E for my online group of 7 players. bsky.app/profile/dark...
Slipping into a few quiet hours of #Shadowrun2E prep before the house wakes up. Session 4, the Elven Fire finale, lands next week. Big rumble, high stakes… then a focus on the crew’s downtime and daily lives before everything detonates again into the next run! I love a long term campaign.

Likely targeting something modern (near past or future also ok). Hidden societies, conspiracies, supernatural politics, actiony and all under normal life. What’s your favorite system for that “everything is secretly weird” campaign energy? 👀🎲

Refining this: Jill leans toward modern settings + mysteries, the kiddo magic + tech, which keeps pulling me toward Werewolf or Mage since Dresden Files wasn’t mechanically heavy enough for her last time. I’m also eyeing deep cuts like WitchCraft or Everlasting for that Secret World vibe.

🤔 Warhammer Fantasy? Werewolf? Avatar Legends? 3.5 D&D? Shadowrun (PG-13 remix)? She loves both magic & tech… but also the D&D movie fully sold her on a Druid/Barbarian & now I’m dangerously close to running a full 3.5 Forgotten Realms campaign. Talk me in or out of it. What would you pick? 🎲👀

I'm thinking about it. But it may be to “realistic” for the kiddo.

Many sessions. I'm envisioning likely 16 - 26 session.

I was debating the One Ring as I really like the travel mechanic but I'd need to really read it to see how it would vibe with the family. I'm not really a 5E guy.
