I’m finally watching the sopranos (I know I know) and when Bobby kills the drummer in Canada, they keep showing shoes in a dryer. There’s an old musician joke abt a bad drummer sounding like “shoes in a dryer.” I’ve gotta talk to David Chase to see if I’m right get him on the horn for me asap

not sure how to square ‘no one person can be reasonably expected to pay for every media subscription’ with ‘sorely underpaid writers need to make a living’ but my inclination is not to locate that problem with any of the broke ass people on either end of the complaint

Ah hell, one of my all time fave composers has passed. Lalo Schifrin (Mission Impossible, Bullitt, Enter the Dragon, and every other super cool film from the latter half of the 20th C.) I saw him w an orchestra at the Bowl years ago-he played some personal deep cuts that were FUNKY AF. RIP Maestro
