Can confirm. I work in aftermarket automotive, and we have a core charge on all batteries we sell. The ones we get back are thrown directly into the ocean to help support the electric eel populations.
Again, this is the kind of thing which is already happening in the background at scale which people may simply not be aware of.
A whole lot of aftermarket car parts are actually used car parts that got wear items like bearings or brushes replaced, cleaned up, and re-sold.

My brain is currently down a rabbit hole of which Michigan city is closest to the setting for Aperture Science Labs. It's supposedly set in Northern Michigan in an abandoned salt mine. So that leaves Midland and Manistee as options. Though, Midland isn't really all that "north" as it is "middle"

-doll bussing tables with the best makeup I have seen in months.

New Molly Tuttle is absolutely excellent so far. Damn, so glad she has blown up. Beautiful songwriting, amazing playing, gorgeous song craft altogether.
