Other parts of the country had their first snowfall. Now it's our turn. First significant snowfall happening today. First picture was at 9:44 this morning, the second was at 12:38 p.m. Won't be doing any door knocking today, other than knocking the snow shovel to dislodge damp snow. ☃️❄️🪏

Photo taken at 9:44 a.m. from our living room window of the street and our daughter's black car with starting to build up on the roof. Our lawn is still green from the mild weather we've had till now, but a dusting of snow is visible on the grass and front flower bed. It's still mild enough snow has melted off the brick walkway leading to our front door, the street nd front sidewalk. The approaching snow looks like fog in the distance. Photo taken at 12:38 p.m. taken from the front window. The snow is now about two centimetres, or one inch deep and building up rapidly on the street sidewalks and car. We expect between five and twenty centimetres, or two to eight inches of snow depending where in the area you live, over the next twenty-four hours. Could be more this close to the Cypress Hills.

But they know where to get an easy meal when they're hungry. These are some of the last ones we've had around. They don't have to worry about hunters, we're in the city. I'm thinking coyotes, or foxes in the coulee across from us.
Male and female pheasants eating from the snow covered ground on food other birds have knocked out of the feeders above. Make pheasant eating from the ground in the fall. They eat the food other birds have discarded from the bird feeders above.

Had a hard decision to make on what to wear during the CFL game yesterday. This is some of my collection of sweaters, hoodies and shirts with various Saskatchewan Roughrider themes. Photo of a black hoodie I got a few years ago. This wouldn't fit on the bed with the previous collection. My ugly Christmas Sweater Saskatchewan Roughriders shirt. It's green with black stripes at the bottom. it has the white stylized S and wheat stems and white snow flakes above the S.

Photo collection depicting my father’s WWII service. Top picture is of his graduation class from the training base in Farnum Quebec, March 30th, 1943. He’s the one in the back row on the left. This group was made up of soldiers of different regiments. Middle picture is a Memorial Display my older brother(himself a Canadian Armed Forces Reserve and Royal Canadian Mounted Police veteran)made. It has a picture of my Dad in uniform, at age nineteen, just before he was shipped to Italy with the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada. Above his picture is a Medal Clasp Depicting his Campaign Stars from Italy, France and Germany. On the right of his picture is another picture of Dad standing in front of a two and one half ton transport lorry during his time in Italy. It’s from a story written about him in the Swift Current Saskatchewan newspaper, after he returned from the war. Beside this picture is his record of service, list of medals, commendations and countries he served in. Below that, are two updated Clasps with silver maple leafs added depicting his medals were awarded for service outside of Canada. The lower clasp depicts his Voluntary Service Medal along with medals awarded in Holland and Belgium. Below the medals are Remembrance Day Commemorative pins and his Legion pin. Below the Memorial Display is a photo of my Dad’s Regimental Cap Badge which is a stags head with a huge rack of antlers and the inscribed motto “Cuidich ’n Righ” in Gaelic which translates to “Aid The King”, or “Help The King”.

He didn’t stay as long when I watched the Blue Jays play Baseball during the World Series.
