That is so disproportionate that it would be almost farcical if the impact weren't so dire. Godspeed to all the environmental advocates who are making others' voices heard.

This is an economic problem, sure. But it's also an environmental justice crisis. Frontline communities pay the heaviest price. From production to transportation to disposal. Plastics seem cheap, the cost is paid by others. By the environment. And eventually by us all.
