#PVC doesn’t make our homes better; it threatens our health, safety, and the environment. 🌎 The Home Depot can and must do more to phase it out of all packaging on store shelves.

💥 The chemical lobby is trying to weaken #TSCA — the law that protects us from dangerous chemicals, bans deadly solvents like TCE and methylene chloride & lets states act on toxics like #PFAS.

Tell your senators to keep TSCA strong and oppose industry rollbacks.

We’ve got a serious over-reliance on petrochemicals. This recent Wirecutter piece seems to miss the bigger takeaway. We should just use fewer plastic-based items where they’re not needed. In laundry there are tons of alternatives.

New research found toxic chemicals in both recycled & virgin PET plastic. Recycling alone won’t solve the plastics crisis when the material itself is toxic. Safer materials and stronger transparency is needed.

A new day a new compelling reason to reduce pollution.

A U.S. study of 400,000+ women found that each 10 ppb increase in nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) raised breast cancer risk by ~3%. Fine particulate matter (PM2.5) was associated with especially aggressive tumor types.
Air pollution, even at low levels, may heighten breast cancer risk
Women who live in areas with more air pollution may face a higher risk of developing breast cancer, according to a new, large-scale study.
