Yeah I think if the Libs had held it together they had potential (Can't stand me now made it to number 2) but obviously Doherty had his issues to say the least.

I still think beyond the obvious superstars of Britpop: Oasis, Blur, Pulp, Suede, the Verve. That second wave of guitar bands like the Libertines, Bloc Party, Franz et al will be remembered far longer than most of the second tier of Britpop bands to be honest. Arctics obviously on another level.

The last hurrah of the music press played a part in that too I reckon. Without an NME or Melody Maker to put them on the front cover any more, indie bands have no route to mass recognition anymore.

I am an NHS nurse and the amount of "oh I had it one time and I felt terrible afterwards" takes is the reason why unfortunately.

That, and unfortunately my peers aren't immune from the general mistrust of government and official information that's affecting the wider population.

Is it too crass to make a remark about us all being f**ked if Reform comes to power?

Probably, but I guess I've made it.

I would love them both, except for being forced to listen to the news every half an hour. Unfortunately it means I'll more often than not put on a Spotify playlist instead, as I listen to music for escapism, not to be reminded of the horrors of the World or the latest right wing talking points.

Reform will do ok in the very left behind Rangers supporting towns in the south west of Scotland and other post industrial parts of the central belt. Stranraer is the epitome of this.

These voters would never vote SNP (or Lib Dem) and have swapped between the Tories and Labour in recent years.

Leeds United in the first season of the premier league, as defending champions weren't far off relegation.
