It really is incredible to think back to the buildup to Iraq War 2: post-9/11 patriotic bloodlust, all the false 'yellowcake/WMD' justifications invented by the State Department, the months of mass media manufacturing consent, the bipartisan vote... and then see Trump just skip all that shit.

I am sorry, but how can you claim crime rates are down by 10% and then casually slip in oh btw sexual assaults are up by 6% and sell this as a win. I caught this on morning tv.... this makes it so clear that the media and the qld premier only care about the interests of the wealthy and not people.

Next book: 1 I've been meaning to read for a long time. I woke up listening to @ladyknightthebrave.bsky.social video essay the holocaust is not a metaphor, and hearing them quote Levi again got me to finally pick it up. I 1st listened to lady knight's essay years ago and it had a big impact.
