I’ve relatives with similar experiences to the author. When I visit my sister we often reflect upon how we can now drive through areas that 40, 50 yrs ago would’ve been impossible. Hearing my BIL talking about his experiences reminds me of how much has changed in such a short time. Another 30 yrs…

I’m not saying it’s equally bad obviously. I’m saying it’s rooted in the same sentiment which is about protecting what you think is your way of life without the 1st understanding of traditional British or religious values. You don’t have to tell me it’s racist. I see the council backed down tho’
