Unauthorised people ripping it off doesn't seem that gross to me. It reflects poorly on them as individuals but not on the USA in general. The actual president profiteering off it like a shameless huckster? Now that's gross. That shames America.

I don't normally give The Guardian clicks but this seemed like a reasonable exception. I tried to click through but it wouldn't let me read it without accepting cookies or paying. Why have a website if people can't even look at it? (Yeah, I know that's not your fault. I'm just venting.)

Also, that electric car software stuff should be straight up illegal. That's not just annoying. That is going to get people killed!

This stuff is getting out of control. It's bad enough over here and clearly the Americans get it even worse. Do we need to threaten a full on Bulerian Jihad or can the stupid companies just dial it back a bit and discover that we do more business with them when they don't make it agony.

The only way America can get its reputation back is if it tries and convicts these murderers itself.

I think those two things are incompatible. You can be a friend of America or a friend of Trump but you can't be both.

If this was serious he would be suing in the UK, you know, where the BBC is and where Panorama was broadcast. To sue in Florida would just create a clown show lacking any jurisdiction and I doubt he will do it. Too many of his lawyers are getting sanctioned for incompetence and abuse as it is.

Anyway, I doubt that any such case will be filed. I don't think he is serious. This is just a distraction to get anything other than his association with Epstein off the front pages and it won't work.
