That’s why I mentioned coders are using their employee accounts paid for by the corporation they work for - and many corporations have been signing $5 per user per month deals.

$200 per monthly user seems extremely low as an estimate - could be accurate for very low use, but the point is the service is useful mainly to heavy users.

Heavy use comes at very high energy cost.

A typical heavy user would be consuming a few $1000 in energy cost alone.

Companies prefer profit

It depends on the pricing.

Many coders currently using copilot or claude use so via their employer’s account (charged only $5 per user per month).

The electricity cost alone is $1000 to $5000 per month.

If coders are willing to pay that, then sure claude might be profitable.
