Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe is promoting a “study” that is actually a user-generated Serbian website

The website includes a disclaimer that its data is unvetted and cannot guarantee its information is “accurate or reliable”

The website’s data claims Sudbury, Ontario is more dangerous than Baghdad

I asked Sutcliffe’s Office about using unreliable data from a dubious Serbian website

Sutcliffe’s spokesperson thanked me for my research and said they were unaware of the site or the “accuracy of their claims”

After promising to get back to me, they stopped responding to my requests for comment

Councillor Tim Tierney is wrong about ‘Chronic No-Voters’ in his Ottawa Citizen Op/Ed on Saturday.
His opinion would be easier to take seriously if the comments weren’t coming from someone with a 15-year track record of being a reliable yes-man for every budget. 1/21
