I don't understand this team. They play like clowns two out of every three games, and then when half the roster is on IR they go and beat up on one of the league's best teams.

So it turns out that giving the best player on the planet a breakaway in OT isn't a viable way to win games? Hopefully they pick that one up when they review the tapes.

Washington was great up until February last year. Then, after the record fell we saw a lot of their play fall off. They got through the round against Montreal and then immediately shat the bed against a much better Carolina team.

I'm old enough to remember when Huet got basically forcibly removed from his crease which allowed for a playoff round winning goal to be scored against Washington.
Now it appears that even if a goalie goes out of their way to create contact it'll be deemed contact.

I'm a little worried about this Quinn Hughes to Washington talk..
I get he's a generational player that will make this team truly terrifying....but at most you've got him for a season and a half.
