It's eerie when you drive up to the entrance of a "paid" parking garage, and they already know all of your information (including payment) just by your license plate.

Either that, or I park in a lot of garages that the same company owns...

Took a last-second buzzer beater to win. Way too close, Mean Green! Way too MF'ing close.
On the other Men's CBB team I keep track of: UNT is now having an issue staying ahead of Loyola-Chicago in the second half.

Was something tweaked on TurnItIn? Throughout the summer, on my Capstone, all of my submissions had 0% flagged, including the references page. Just turned in a 6-page project proposal for a current class that was flagged at 21%. All of the citations were flagged!!! WTF?!?!? I hate these things.

Hot damn, get this asshole out of my NFL. Had to be Fox.

This game was more in line with my expectations for this team this season. Whole new team with a new coach. The next challenging game will be against UCF next Friday night in College Station. I'll be at that one.

That's disappointing. I enjoyed it and was completely floored by the 2nd half. Did not anticipate it going where it did.
‘CHRISTY’, starring Sydney Sweeney, had one of the worst opening weekends of all time for a movie released in 2,000+ theaters.

Is the AT&T network really incredibly bad? I've had really poor signal all day long on my phone all over central and western San Antonio. And this happens a lot. However, I feel like I'm the only one complaining. If that were truly the case, then maybe it's just my iPhone sucks. 🤷‍♂️

Yikes! Oklahoma State making the Texas A&M MBB look more like I thought they would look this season. Hopefully the 2nd half is better.

I have AMC A-List as well, so I went to the downtown AMC in San Antonio to see CHRISTY. But then I ended up paying $17 to park for 3 hours at the Rivercenter Garage. Basically, unless you live in downtown SA, it's probably not worth getting A-List in SA.*

My goodness! Texas A&M is 9-0!!

A couple more pics before I move inside.

Now in downtown San Antonio for this, and I've stumbled upon a Veterans Day Parade.

I thought all or most marching band competitions were over at this point. However, USBands is still hosting a contest in Round Rock tomorrow. My cousin's son is participating in that one.

Good to do it now before the cold front comes through on Sunday.

This weekend's road trip is to San Antonio for PySanAntonio 2025, the first Python conference in that city. It's free and only 4 hours (excluding extracurricular activities).

I'll be sure to pick up tamales from Delia's on the way home, of course!

Got a double tonight, going to a screening of DIE MY LOVE with Livestream Q&A with Jennifer Lawrence, followed by PREDATOR: BADLANDS.

I already know "an" answer, but how are we not already in a recession?
CNN: "A brand new report is out showing layoff announcements hit their highest level for October in over 20 years. It's painting a picture of a job market that is really hurting. US-based employers announced 150,074 job cuts in October, more than any October since 2003."

Heh, due to the holiday next Tuesday, I won't have to be back in the office until next Wed. Works for me.

Ok, that's my new acronym of choice: AYFKM!!

Pretty easy to figure out what that one is.

There's a part of me that wants Texas A&M to fall just enough in the CFP rankings to be in this group. A playoff game at Kyle Field would be nuts!! I might actually sell my ticket for thousands!!*

* Heh, heh, not really.

This was truly amazing to watch in IMAX! The audience absolutely loved it; so many laughs. I wanted to clap at the end!

I saw someone else mention it on here, but it doesn't have the "To Be Continued..." at the end. I guess the cut in theaters this week was from the original, which is fantastic!
Now seated for BACK TO THE FUTURE in one of the largest IMAX theaters in Texas!

Applied for funsies. Didn't even make it to the recruiter stage.
Too funny. One of the jobs I interviewed for back in June is open again. This is the one where the hiring manager lived and worked in France with her team all over the world. This position was the only one on her team based in Austin.

Apparently went fine last night, but they did have an issue with the print. Otherwise all went fine.
Still no news on tonight's THE FOG screening. The theater number was missing from my ticket, and it's no longer on the sched. But now I can't even log into the app. I was going to go ahead and release the ticket. Folks on the Discord saying the same about the ticket. Drafthouse killing me now.
