I also released my seat in the front row about 5 minutes. It took nearly 20 minutes for the sofa to show open in the app, so it may be another 10-15 minutes before my original seat shows up.

Coordinated with someone on a Discord channel regarding the FRANKENSTEIN free screening tonight here in Austin. I was able to grab their seats. It's a two-seater sofa in the back. I don't necessarily need two seats; maybe I'll run into someone who needs one. Difficult to get one that was released!

Some theaters in other cities are getting it either the 23rd or 30th. My guess is that Austin will start populating showings next Mon/Tues or the following week. I have a ticket for tonight, but it’s in the front row. Was hoping to move back, but people holding on tight to their tix.

That soundtrack!! I love it so much. The Drafthouse did NOT disappoint; they had that sound cranked UP! Some of the explosions hurt my ears, but it was worth it for that music!!

Got absolutely demolished in both of my FF leagues this week. Believe me, it wasn't good.

My ATS model went 7-8 for Week 6, and overall, I am now sitting at 55-38 for the season. Still comfortably ahead of #2. I think an ATS model that is 59% on the year so far is pretty damn good.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

The car is doing fine. It was one of those intermittent things that only occurred in different situations. My "new" course has a streaming component on Monday nights, so I'll do that, then drive around a bit and see how it goes.

Texas A&M Men's Basketball, ranked #35 in KenPom rankings, seems incredibly high for a team with a brand new coach and team. I would hope and be extremely happy if they meet those expectations, but I'm prepared if they don't.

I'd say that it's rather cruel to have both the BLACK PHONE 2 and GOOD FORTUNE Austin screenings tomorrow night, but I want to see both films. If you don't like horror or Aziz, you can pick one or the other, making it an "easy" choice.

In any case, I wasn't invited to either, so pffffttttt!!

Looking at the long-range weather forecast for Austin. Our weather has been remarkably consistent for a long time, with highs in the 90s and lows in the 60s. Long-range forecast says we might get a mile cold front on the 23rd (highs in the 70s)! That's a long ass time to wait.
