I try not to be toooo cynical, but I can't fathom how this is anything more than just cushy advisor positions for some family/buds/supporters.

Imagine the insanely dumb things we're going to hear about because of this line of reasoning.

So I don't know the exact number, but tsmc definitely has fewer than 100k total staff right? Assuming Americans are half as effective at the same job that's... Oh... About 2500% of the high end market?

They could even do it at home for 3 weeks first, then get the real assignment due in an hour that is totally different, to really drive home the real world similarity.

"Corporate slop" bothers me just as much, and I'm sure it would be pretty samey without AI. I've just noticed it's gotten appreciably worse during the last year.

Office templates and styles have made a lot of presentations look the same for ages, but now speaking notes also all sound the same.

I honestly consider anything that is public facing slop (copy, speaking notes, pictures, etc.). It has its uses I suppose, but I've noticed a huge uptick in elegant seeming presentations at work that all sound exactly the same. It's the eerie "sameyness" that bothers me the most as "slop".

I would go to the local cafe to get a takeout coffee and snack every morning before "work". That Christmas they gave me a card addressed to "dark roast and loaf" with a stick figure in glasses drawn on the envelope.
