Chart updates themselves are weekly, assuming you have the signal at sea to download them and don't have to wait for discs.

We can now deploy virtual AtoNs that'll show up as an AIS marker on an electronic chart, or hope someone onboard has read the NavTex and done a manual chart update (good luck)

In that we agree. But they aren't attached to the hull, just the top of the fenders. You can see it clearer in the one furthest right.

It's not chained.

I hope it's completely fucked and will never sail again, but it's not chained to the quay. The photos do not show that, they show the fenders chained to the fender supports.

From those photos (and the vid) there's nothing showing it being chained to the quay though. It's just the quay's fendering from an oblique angle.

Aye. But even in the still with the red circles, and the video, I still just see fendering I'm afraid. I wish it were otherwise.

I see the chains holding the fenders, I don't see anything else about them?

Can confirm. Bit of a slippery situation really, mariners into the area being warned to keep their eyes peeled.

I'd love to see the Tooth Fairy's justification for needing human tissue samples though, and the control measures in place for secure storage etc

I'll be at work, but I'll see what I can do.

16 of the buggers apparently. Although 2 are already reported washed up. Mostly reefers.

Ah, the affection knives. Truly, you are blessed.

And that, Gentle Reader, is why we're at anchor nowhere near there tonight.
