"Annoyed, but dealing with it," then, now and always

Cooley on KJ Lewis' first career double-double: "This, for sure, will not be his last double-double. I think you're seeing a young man emerge right in front of our eyes. Given the just the freedom to grow and be himself, and I think that's the magic sauce that we as a staff instill in our men."

Georgetown's shot 4/26, 5/20 and 4/19 from 3 in its first three games. Not optimal.

Cooley: "We're going to keep firing. It's just a missed shot. It gives you a chance to get an offensive rebound."
November 13, 2025 at 2:44 AM
(Georgetown has tried to play 11 in meaningful minutes in all three games, and Cooley acknowledged he's still working on the rotation. Wouldn't be surprised if things get narrowed down a little --- at least temporarily --- when Clemson visits on Saturday).
November 13, 2025 at 2:37 AM
Cooley: "Did we have the right personnel on the floor, and is that personnel connected? Because we're playing so many guys, are we getting enough reps in practice so those guys are all connected. We had a lineup out there and that I never saw even in practice. So that's coaching."
November 13, 2025 at 2:33 AM
(One of those adjustments was not extending pressure quite as much on defense. That showed up in keeping Binghamton off the line as much as anything else).
November 13, 2025 at 2:30 AM
Cooley on halftime: "There was no yelling or furniture moving. We have to show we're better than that. We made two adjustments and those adjustments worked."
November 13, 2025 at 2:28 AM
(That's pretty much exactly the sentiment I'd have expected from him. It was a slog, but Georgetown's struggled a lot more to finish these sort of games in the all-too-recent past).
November 13, 2025 at 2:23 AM
FINAL: Georgetown 83, Binghamton 70.

A double-double for KJ Lewis (20 points, career-high tying 10 rebounds) and Vince Iwuchukwu gets 17 points for the Hoyas (3-0), who pulled away in the second half. They get Clemson on Saturday at home.

Jeremiah Quigley had a 17/4/8 line for the Bearcats (1-3).
November 13, 2025 at 1:27 AM
Under-4 arrives early via a Binghamton timeout. Georgetown 79-56. Hoyas with a 13-1 run to polish this off.

This won't go down as the most satisfying game for the Hoyas, but hard to argue with the shot selection, ballhandling and defense in the second half. Good in-game course correction.
November 13, 2025 at 1:16 AM
Under-8. Georgetown 70-55.

KJ Lewis will try to get his first 20-point outing as a Hoya when he heads to the line after the timeout. He's got 19 points and nine rebounds.
November 13, 2025 at 1:10 AM
Under-12. Georgetown 62-46.

A far more concerted and lasting effort to get it inside this half for the Hoyas. And even more concerted effort to bottle up Binghamton at the end.

Lewis (17), Iwuchukwu (15) and Mack (11) in double figures for Georgetown.
November 13, 2025 at 1:00 AM
Under-16. Georgetown 52-40.

Bearcats have only gone seven deep (no Zyier Beverly and his 13.3 ppg tonight), and they appear to be wearing down a bit. Rough offensive start to the half --- 1/11 overall, 0/5 from 3.
November 13, 2025 at 12:52 AM
Malik Mack caps a 7-0 Georgetown spurt with a 3, and Binghamton's Levell Sanders won't wait for the under-16.

Binghamton timeout, 15:14 to go. Hoyas 52-40, their first double-digit lead of the night. Mack has all seven of his points since the break.
November 13, 2025 at 12:47 AM
HALFTIME: Georgetown 41, Binghamton 36.

Iwuchukwu and KJ Lewis with 13 points each for the Hoyas, with Lewis canning a mid-range jumper in transition at the buzzer.

Binghamton has 11 turnovers, but is 14/15 at the foul line to hang around.
November 13, 2025 at 12:25 AM
Under-4 comes a bit late, with 2:10 before the break.

Georgetown 35-33.

Quigley now has 13 points for Binghamton, with a free throw to come. Not a great defensive half for the Hoyas.

Vince Iwuchukwu has 13 points on 3/3 FG and 7/9 FT for Georgetown.
November 13, 2025 at 12:19 AM
Ed Cooley pounded the table when Jeremiah Williams committed a foul just before the shot clock expired and sent Isaiah Abraham in for him.

Next time down, Abraham committed a foul, and Williams went right back in for him.

The Georgetown coach is a bit flustered with how things are going on D.
November 13, 2025 at 12:14 AM
Under-8. Georgetown 22-19.

#MasonLegend Jeremiah Quigley has six points for Binghamton, which has managed to hang around against a Georgetown bunch that doesn't seem quite as energized as it did on Friday.

Hoyas do have 13 bench points. They've gone 11 deep, and no one has more than eight minutes.
November 13, 2025 at 12:04 AM
None that I've seen so far.
November 12, 2025 at 11:52 PM
Under-12 arrives a bit early by a Binghamton timeout. Georgetown 16-9.

Hoyas get 3s off turnovers from Kayvaun Mulready and Jeremiah Williams to punch it open a bit.

Binghamton with seven turnovers in 16 possessions.
November 12, 2025 at 11:52 PM
Under-16. Georgetown 8-7.

Hoyas going inside with regularity, as they should with their size advantage.

Julius Halaifonua and Vincent Iwuchukwu have three of Georgetown's four buckets. Iwuchukwu to the line after the first TV timeout.
