Also crazy number of Fixies out on today’s Audax - kudos to each of them - blew my mind how they decend - legs going 1000 revolutions per second almost …
Could have done with being on the gravel Bike in Audax mode - roads where yuck yuck yuck and rutty …. None the less the 4seasons did well 🚴👍🏼

Lunchtime was spent messing with RidewithGPS - always wanted to map out a trip down and around the IOW & yes the ferries are not included in the distance mapped ….
I guess next is to work out the timings for each ‘leg’ lol

My options are easy spin and comfortable on 10% climbs

It’s finally here … 4 new boots day for the satsuma…
Means one thing … I’m keeping it for at least another 40k
Seems daft to move it on .. part ex will be stupid .. & frankly it does all I need it too do … So Here’s a slightly Frankenstein Halloween 🎃 pic of it …

So that’s a few 100’s factored for the new season… Now any 200’s in my area / need to add the green 500 to my badge collection - only a few from the B2000 - so that’s within easy reach now too - then onto the B3000 - these badges are addictive!!

Oh boy - I’ve started mapping out the 2026 mini Normandy tour by bike (obviously) .. my eldest son is keen to ride it with me / I yet to have a house pass I suspect many many many brownie points will need to be scored - along with juggling time re Audax’s so could be an interesting period of time

Don’t shoot me but what’s the harm in running a 2x ring as a 1x
Or should I just buy a 1x oval 46th for the steelie that I’m converting - it has a 42th oval at present and I spin out on the roads .. hence the 46 … like oval re the feel on the x1
