Josh, who is 15, but is tired, and still needing to go back to do more homework after dinner, is having a tough time pronouncing benevolent. Occasionally saying it as 'balevolent'. I asked if this meant someone was so nice and helpful they could only be an agent of evil.

DJT wants to play hardball, forgetting that China is one of the founding players of that game. He's not going to win this one. 5000 years of playing hardball.

Back in HS, there was an art exhibit, I think it was in the National Gallery of Art, which, is technically NOT part of the Smithsonian Inst., they all work pretty closely together, and is also free to the public and is heavily funded by the federal government.

The "Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History" order removes "divisive, race-centered ideology" from Smithsonian museums, educational and research centers, and the National Zoo.

The number of fields that men have 'taken over' because there was either money in it or shiny, (obstetrics, computing) or abandoned to women because they didn't want to be told what to do (secretary, teaching), all flows along with the crux of this article.
Tagging for mute: <sigh>

Unfortunately, this makes total sense to me. Unless it caters to the ego of a VERY SPECIFIC demographic, it's considered disposable and worthless.
Why states are cutting money for higher education? It's because men are leaving higher education in big numbers. Partially money. But this article really helped me understand what's happening. We can actually graph the amount men leave if women participate:

I see an ad for "Three Grandpas and a Baby" and comment that it's apparently coming out later this spring. D. asks if they have been storing Steve Guttenberg in a kimchi jar all these years. Uncontrollable giggling commences.

The 15 yr old had to write a letter to one of our senators for Civics, I gave him a few options, and picked 'subsidize daycare nationwide' as the topic. He ran some numbers, and was shocked at the annual cost. 25% of moms are home, if only 1 kid in daycare per, SAHM, it is 504 Trillion, annually
