Ancient meme and all, but it still describes my attempts to buy a modern console.

They played with that angle in the now closed mobile game. Not the current one, that is still active, but the previous game.

Spoilers for a dead game that was not translated.

For what it's worth, even Okouchi (the original Code Geass writer) seems to appreciate that mix.

I am surprised they went ahead and decided to make a manga crossover between Code Geass and Gundam Wing, but then again...I assume the SRW games and kits have proved there's a demand.

It's also from the same guy who did Wing's Glory of the Losers and one of the recently concluded Code Geass manga.

Right. It's curious how you could contrast those two works and, say, Gasaraki. Which Takahashi directed (with Taniguchi as his assistant). Now that series was way more focused on politics, economics and making commentary on "old vs. new" Japan.

Creating another timeline was an emotional necessity, but it's mostly formality. In practice, these compilations are not essential because the changes are so marginal.

Btw, Ogasawara Tomofumi's Re manga that only reworks the Emperor Lelouch arc (and continues by adapting Resurrection) was better.

The Ultimates has been a solid comic so far. Almost feels like an anthology at times but it works.

Very interested in how the group dynamics are going to change with this upcoming issue.

If I recall correctly, it was picking up a copy of Gundam: The Official Guide by Mark Simmons, way back in the year 2002 or thereabouts, when people in online anime circles kept whispering about Gundam but I had very little idea about whatever that was supposed to mean. And the rest is history.
