it's possible it was just an issue with my Mac, but i remember reading about others facing similar performance issues: discussions.unity.com/t/unity-buil...

either way, will definitely try it again at some point, would be great to get it working

hey that's a good point, especially if it were a classic 4X game focused on expansion & conquest. but here i'm trying to offer a wide variety of playstyles, including egalitarian/authoritarian and cooperative/competitive, showing the diversity of societies described in books like Dawn of Everything

thanks for the shout-out! big fan of Six Ages so this is great to hear :)

i'd love to support macOS, i just saw in my initial experiments that even a literally empty unity project ran at ~15 FPS on my mac and so that threw me off. but once i have a solid windows version i'll still revisit the idea
