I've sorta been on a Gundam kick as of late and was thinking about the various GM "commander" types thanks to Kakarot197's recent video on Federation MS squads.

Decided to do a few studies to nail down the designs. I'd like to get back into practice drawing mechs again. :D

Rough sketches of two RGM-79 GM "commander" types. The one on the left originates from the Gihren's Greed games. Not much information is known (in English at least.) It sports fairly radical changes- it appears to use the head of a GM Cannon with twin antennas, a backpack with two beam sabers (like the Gundam), individually segmented skirt armor (with the signature Gundam "crotch" protrusion) and what appear to be leg shock absorbers as seen on the Powered GM's knees and calves. It's frequently seen using the Beam Gun from the RGM-79G GM Command. The one on the right has appeared in several side stories and games. Seemingly a "standard" model with additional detailing. It appears to be more of a standard GM model- retaining the Gundam esque twin saber rack, segmented skirt armor (but the middle segment flat) and patches of what appears to be additional armor on the skirt and legs.

Got this lovely piece of my new fennec character Xan, illustrated by the wonderful @blayaden01.bsky.social !

Turns out looking back on old MMOs is a great source of inspiration for making characters. Xan's based on a stereotypical desert elf ranger from Mabinogi, a game I've played way too much of!

Sadly I can't really do more than an inks at the moment- colors take a long time and time is something I don't have a lot of at the moment. :(

Got her done! Recent events caused it to take a bit longer than normal. My yearly drawing of my OC, Sam the bobtail cat!
